  MIL letter to my wife

  background: my wife and i are inactive, we stopped attending in 2005. raised as jws, were pioneers, i was elder etc... .

  our kids are in college, also inactive but are baptised.

  my wife went back to college, getting her degree this month at age 48!

  Mixed signals to say the least. One day MIL is sending letter that uses fear, guilt, blackmail and then the next replies to text above.

  So far you both have played it well. Above all do not get caught up in playing along with thinking you have to give an answer to every remark she wants a comment on. No telling but, she may have got wipped into a frenzy from a latest magazine, assembly or KH talk. Just reply to anything in a normal manner as you seem to do. As far as the 50th anniversay snub threat.....just tell her it is ridiculous to say that, and that all your family will be there.

  okay, so i've been what i believe is called a, "lurker", on this site for about four years.

  i honestly don't remember how i stumbled on to it, but i totally get everyone here.

  i'm a, "born in", pinoneered for like six-teen years, servered where the need is great several times, and even went to the, as the name alludes to, mts before it became a watered down theocratic ministry school.

  Think About It

  I agree with those who say do not respond. The woman is obviously a self-righteous fanatical JW, and she will accept no answer or reasoning except the one she is looking for. Act like she didn't even send the stoopid letter.....it will drive her insane waiting for your reply.

  Remember the days when we as dubs, used to brag that we had to teach people about their own religion, in order for us to show them how their belief system is wrong?

  Wha.......we used to say that all the time about the people in the territory. We were so full of ourselves as JW's.

  WT Society Changes Definitions of Words to Control JW's for Their Agenda

  my wife and i were discussing this and thought of a few examples of words that the wt society changes meanings on in order to accomplish their own self serving agenda .

  the term - generation - definition in webster's new world dictionary : " generation - a single stage or degree in the succession of natural descent ( father, son, and grandson are three generations ) .

  the average period ( about thirty years ) between the birth of one generation and that of the next .

  I've been out since 1995. I now throw my hands up and admit that my intellect cannot keep up with the everchanging con game that the Watchtower plays with JW beliefs.
